so i've never been a small girl (a life of sports and tall, HEALTHY genes saw to that). and though recently the self-confidence has been up to par, it's sad how something as insignificant as words and how they differ culturally can wreck my day. two people used the B-I-G word in conjunction with "girl" to refer to my appearance today. neither were american. both later explained their reasoning and it was actually complimentary.
